So true. I was shocked that even MSM national and local stations picked on the Dem candidate's small 'defects', rather than broadcast the near-constant lunacy of 45. I don't watch news any more. The Fourth Estate has failed in its mission.

Agree. Social media is driven by click bait (usually memes) and 'emotion' emojis. FB does nothing to encourage the civil exchange of ideas, except in specific private, moderated, evidence-based groups. During my break from FB, I do miss those groups.

It will be tough. Probably the last thing I'll do on FB is change my profile pic from all black to an upside-down flag; tomorrow.
This might give me the motivation to find more colleagues and groups on bsky.
