He wasn’t bashing Sinners. He was just saying that One Battle After Another checks all the boxes that Oscar voters usually eat up. He also said that because Sinners is a Black movie, some Oscar voters probably won’t even watch it. Sinners is a horror and horror don't typically win Oscars He's right
