It's all too common. A good example of what happens when you become a public figure without PR training. I have no issue with someone wanting a CIS woman only space, but it is possible to request such without invalidating trans and nb people. She blundered through and set off a hornet's nest.

Am in that sapphic group, and she made a vid about a comment I made (ironically warning her that she was heading for bad PR) but also began Born of Blood and Magic before I knew she pulled the TERF trigger.
