One of my favorite things when the PCs were asked him why he didn't just save the day for them.
Damakos said he'd already saved the world a couple times, it was somebody else's turn. At one point even yelling, "When will -I- have earned my rest?! When do -I- get to enjoy what I fought for?!"

Damakos was Husbeast's character. When I brought back that homebrew, it was in-game, 35 years later and Husbeast played Damakos' son, Raze.
