They're already acting unilaterally. The only difference now will be that Republicans get 100% of what they want without any of the infighting or contentious public discourse, and Democrats will now share the blame when voters eventually feel the pain (which Republicans will surely capitalize on).

I'm very anti-Trump, but to be fair IMO in context it sounds less bad--he's saying he just needs them to help him win this last term (probably because he's afraid of jail). But it's Trump, so I don't blame people for assuming the worst. He does love loaded language, then pretending to be joking.
