A. The DoD, including Natl Guard and reserves, number nearly 3 million service members. That alone would be plenty to completely disrupt elections without adding in the 80K under DHS and 135K+ under DoJ who can perform law enforcement actions.
B. They don't care if anyone accepts anything.

I think you underestimate what they can do. It takes just a couple of phone calls to redirect ICE and other parts of DHS, DoJ and the military to sieze voting machines, ballot boxes and local elections officials. Who would stop them? SCOTUS? With what army?
