But one thing's sure, Inspector Clay is dead, murdered, and somebody's responsible.
"The Android Invasion" was written by Terry Nation (and one of only two non-Dalek stories Nation would pen), so it's no surprise this one was thoroughly enjoyable. Perhaps my favorite part was Dave Carter's portrayal of a very enthusiastic Mission Control officer, who, in a way, saves the day.

For what it's worth, "Rio"'s real name, or at least the name of the model Nagel based the album cover version of Rio on, is Marcie Hunt. Which is interesting primarily because this was evidently a complete mystery until 2024 when the picture he used was discovered in a 1981 edition of French Vogue.

I saw it Thursday, and it managed to do something that, even as late as last week, seemed unthinkable: it humanizes Andy. A few tears may have been shed...

But the two films Friday night were the anticipated gut-punch assault on our senses and logic, as if Andy was reminding us, "This is me, babe."

I'll be flying into NYC that afternoon but will be at the Milligan doc screening that evening, otherwise I'd absolutely be there for this.

I wonder if this will include the original film this started out as, GABRIELLA, GABRIELLA (1970).

Not much of a stretch really.

I'm (thankfully) not familiar with this clown, but I for one see exactly ZERO about him that would even in my most drunken moments make me think of Lee Marvin.

To be clearer, a copy of the original picture has been around for years, but Mr Spark IDed the person, and now the place, and has also found the actual original photograph(s), plural, because there are several from that day!

Alasdair Spark initially IDed the person replace by Nicholson as Cassini Santos, a British ballroom dancer of some renown in the 1920s and 30s, and now we know the rest of the story of the photo!
