When we sold it (2021) we left a note for the new owners explaining what we had done and the names of the (bonded professionals) who had done the work. I like to think I am one of the good guys. We did leave them the original windows, though

I may be missing the point. We bought a 1925 house in 1996. We “got to” redo the plumbing (house settled, causing the drain grade to be 1/4 inch per foot IN THE WRONG DIRECTION), the electricity (ceramic posts), upgraded the furnace, and put in insolation.
