Been working in the trade since 1984 & I gave up fixing home computers in early 90's as too many butchers trying to grift!
I still have some service manuals!
I recently bumped into some of my customers from the 80's which was a bit freaky to help them again!

I met Prince Charles, chatted & shook hands when his trust started me out in business!
His team made it possible for me to get the correct test equipment like the HM604 Oscilloscope which I still use today!

36 YEARS AGO: In 1988 Amstrad launched the PPC Portable PC. At around 5kg it was more luggable than portable, but still, it paved the way for things to come. Here's Alan Sugar presenting it to Prince Charles.
