Why on Earth would you play the Alapin when you can have this much fun playing the Open Sicilian? I lost and both my opponent and I made a bunch of blunders but man this was a fun game to play!

Today's rapid game has me feeling happy with how my Sicilian studies are coming along. Starting to feel comfortable with handling a range of lines from White in response to 1...c5 now.

Really pleased with this 15+10 game I played last week. Handled the Bowdler Attack nicely and found a nice sequence to finish the game off. My opponent finished with almost 16 mins on their clock so it was particularly sweet to teach them a lesson about taking their time ⏲️😁
