The balance conversation is usually just poorly framed; perpetuating an antagonistic relationship between players and GMs. TTRPGs are about collaboration! While it’s nice when systems are challenging without creating unbeatable scenarios, “balance” is also a GM who fudges numbers to serve the story.

In regards to 3, not enough people realize why The Scary Ones, Ebola et al, are such bad viruses (bad at being a good virus). Scary on a personal level but not a global level. Very obvious and kills people before infections en masse.
