Whoever made the decision to reduce polling stations and staff in yesterday’s #Vancouver #by-election should be held to account. It suppressed #democracy especially for this who can’t stand in line for hours.

Listening to an author like Stewart Goodings recount his time in Russia and the Ukraine reminds me of that hopeful blip after the Berlin Wall fell and before the Chechnya invasion. It's a reminder of how quickly things can change and how quickly they can bounce back.
