I hadn’t realised I was coming up to 4,000 logged on Letterboxd. It doesn’t make sense to me that around two thirds of the films I’ve ever seen have been since I graduated from university. That honestly still feels pretty recent. But that’s about when I started logging them, so I guess it’s right.

I’m using this $26 one and the image is way dimmer than the wireless HDMI I was using previously. Also it kinda just hates the Apple TV and it keeps dropping to black while using one. Maybe the fault is with the new HDMI switch? Tough to know.

There are too many movies I want to see opening here this weekend and I decided the only sensible thing to do was to see all of them at once. For some reason my 18yo nephew has agreed to come along. Wish him luck!

A Complete Unknown is my favourite of the BP nominees, with Anora and The Substance very close behind. I’m predicting Anora, though I can imagine Conclave getting in and making everyone mad.

Saw it this afternoon. It’s more heavy metal album cover than movie, really. Completely brown. Does this weird thing visually where every single light source is a screen-wide lens flare that must be deliberate but looks riiiidiculous. My nephew loved it.

I played the whole game that way. It’s harder, but a whole lot more satisfying. I’d often just start a fight in the middle of the street because there was a Nazi standing there who wasn’t currently being punched.
