Imagine choosing to live with that kind of attitude. I can't even conceive of how empty and cold and dark a heart has to be to willfully choose that ideology. That's not a rich-people thing. Hers is a deeply rooted hatred, cultivated over a lifetime. Fame just gave her an excuse to express it.

I agree, but one has to keep in mind that an inability to act does not equate to willful ignorance. An effective rebellion takes resources, money, and influence, and right now, the average citizen has very little of all three, and those who do aren't fighting for our side.

Because actually being philanthropic requires effort. It requires giving wholly of your time, energy, intelligence, and money for the benefit of others. People like Musk can't be bothered with that. Their egos outweigh their compassion. Apathy, like prejudice, requires are less effort.

Damn, they hit the corporate-jargon dictionary HARD for that statement. What an elaborate way to say "we're gonna milk gamers for every cent they have". I'd rather they just come right out and say that. They'd still be assholes, but at least I'd sort of admire their honesty.
