Massive fan of the podcast, but...
I was really sad to hear @jonsopel1.bsky.social and @maitlis.bsky.social feeling the need to join in the 'othering' of trans people.
I'm a 70 year old gay man who was similarly 'othered' for years and, like most LGBTQ+ people, support my trans brothers and sisters.

My mum and dad (born 1948) of course worked hard, both more than one job at a time but home ownership was more achievable on relatively low salaries. They also benefited from right to buy. They knew their privilege and were very aware of how impossible things are for their grandchildren.
