Aye, Ishgard had enough crumbling architecture - there was no need for more. Heading out towards the Highlands, only the flicking of his ears showed his distaste with the temperature.

"Right." He withdrew his sword, checking the blade absently. "What are you practicing today?"

Felix grumbled, shaking his head. He never quite could resist her, even when the hairs on the back of his neck stood up on end. "Fine. Training grounds, or are we venturing outside?"

A scowl crossed his expression. "That's not training. That's target practice."

While his instinct was to jump at the offer, he looked at her suspiciously. "Magic, or bladework?" With her, the former felt likeliest - and the one he was most reluctant to do.

He scowled down at his bowl, not able to quite look Byleth in the eyes. “Things were just as disfunctional then. It was simply hidden.”

His eyes narrow slightly, registering the attempt at a jest before he reacted harshly. For once.

“They had the spicy fish stew,” he admitted, knowing full well that it fell into the stereotypical meal that he tended to fall into.

“What brings you here?”

Felix looks up from his plate as the professor approached. Time changes, but it seems that title has stuck. "Fine. Sylvain's making himself useful and keeping an eye on the Boar while I take a food break."

He makes a motion for the professor to take a seat opposite him, if he wished to do so.
