I watched the Cecot story accidentally run here in Canada. It clearly exposes the misinformation campaign of Noem et al, and the torture of the Venezuelan deportees, a large majority of whom had no criminal record in the US or Venezuela, contrary to her claim.

I get a laugh from MAGA supporters who repeatedly claim Trump won in a landslide. I tend to think of a 1.5% lead as a squeaker, but I've only been a political activist for 60 years.

Listening to Noem's testimony, it now seems clear the Trump administration considers dissent and protest as acts of "domestic terrorism". Drug traffickers are described as narco-terrorists, not narco-capitalists. It's all about creating a climate of fear to justify fascist policies.

It looks increasingly like Trump and Putin have made a deal on client states. Russia gets Ukraine's natural gas and complete control of the Sea of Azov, with Trump getting Venezuela and it's oil.
