Listening to media coverage of the Australian leaders’ debate, I’m frustrated by how much of it focuses on “performance” and “show” instead of the actual issues. This kind of reporting is part of the problem—it treats politics like entertainment instead of holding leaders to account on substance.

On a more serious note, I feel sad for my second home and what havoc this administration may wreak on it. I don’t doubt that there will also be a global impact that we will feel all the way over here in Australia.
