When I wrote my biography of Raoul Wallenberg, the young Swede who helped save 100,000 Jews in Budapest at the end of WWII, I got to know a lot of Holocaust survivors. I swore to them, and to myself, I'd do everything possible to keep it from happening again. Yet here we go. Resist cruelty. Resist.
