Clearly said by a person who hasn't set foot in Portland. I live here and it's a beautiful city with no sign of fire anywhere that I've seen.

That's neat. It looks like a pineapple block.

If you're cutting a lot of them, it is easier to layer a 9-1/2" piece of fabric and slice up four 1-1/2" strips at once. It's just faster than trying to fuss with a bunch of 1-1/2" strips.

Unless the pattern only calls for a few of 9-1/2" strips, I do the same.

Thanks. These are the fabrics that were originally designed in the pattern. I was fortunate to find it just as the fabrics were being discontinued and was able to buy some on clearance.

Yes, there are lots of different blocks and about a dozen different fabrics. I like these kinds of projects.

Fun colors. I'm also thinking about making the Old Town mystery in earthtones to match my living room.

Quilts don't come with requirements. Yours is beautiful and that is all that matters.

Love that dragon! Great quilt. Your son is very lucky.

Congratulations! Well done.

Looks great! That quilt is on my To Do list as well.

Stunning. I've often stopped by her website and been tempted to sign up to do one of her quilts.
