Found this medallion amongst my dad’s things. It belonged to his father, Oliver Duncan Clues. My grandfather whom I never met as he passed before I was born. I’m trying to learn a bit more about it…

I have a couple of garden beds where random plants have been popping up unexpectedly … this particular one, I planted poppies and sunflowers around the Melaleucas but random spinach, tomatoes and even a snow pea plant have sprouted up. I’m not complaining … I love the surprises they bring.

how wonderful. I have some very similar tomatoes that popped up unexpectedly where I’d planted peas 🤔

my go to for avoiding doomscrolling is tending to my garden, knitting or reading. But mostly the garden.

I love those kinds of days … having one myself although I did brave the cold to pick some spinach and peas from the garden. the rest of the day will be pottering inside and the heater is on!!
