In 60 days or so, we get the pieces back for the writers to review to make sure we didn’t mess their piece up. Then some other work by the publisher, and we have a publish date.

Expect the book to release after the new year. Obviously, I’ll announce it when it’s available.

who expected to have a career outside the home as professionals.

As far as I can tell, this is the first living history of that generation. This book is focused on tech comm but the next books will be other professions, with a focus on technology.

Now, the publisher does their stuff and we wait.

first generation of women who expected to join the workforce as professionals for their lives. Which was a complete accident on my part. And an amazing accident.

Expect it to show up for purchase first quarter 2026.

This period is especially interesting because it includes the PC revolution through the dot com boom through the birth of the internet as the everyday world, available on smartphones in nearly every corner of the world. Additionally, the field changed from predominately male to predominately female.

That’s us but we may not travel much at all. Probably not internationally, with a possible exception of Italy this fall. We’re more interested in stockpiling money… it seems smarter.

Yeah. We’re stocking on the things we use all the time or were thinking about and know the tariffs are goi g to increase the price. And then shutting down discretionary spending again.

Tonight it might rain and the rain may continue thru tomorrow, which is awesome because we’ve had no rain since March or so. Tomorrow, I’ll make some sourdough breads and read. A full day off is a good thing. I need 1 day off every week.
