My Montevideo Uruguay neighbourhood park - Parque Rodo had a 2 day event (sponsored by the city) with food trucks, gourmet artisan foods, crafts/plants for sale plus of course music. It was packed for Sunday afternoon with 1,000's enjoying spring - for All Soul's Day.

Today was my birthday! We went for a bike ride & picnic along Uruguay's south "gold coast" from Punta Colorada to Punta Negra. It has spectacular views and a very safe side path along the road and ocean.

Visited Montevideo's Uy Tristán Narvaja feria. It's more than a 100 years old. Spans 20 square blocks. Every Sunday - on offer: a mix of fruit/vegies, spices, nuts, clothes/household goods new & used, shoes books, artisan crafts, antiques, plants + food venders & musicians. An amazing scene!!!

Spent the afternoon at Parque Roosevelt Montevideo Uruguay. First state park created in Uruguay. With an area of 1,492 hectares of forest, it is one of the largest recreational areas in the city. Amazing place for a afternoon walk. visitaruruguay.com/montevideo/p...

On my bike ride today on Montevideo rambla (sea path) stumbled across some outside public art. Oversized mate cups including the bombilla iconic straws. They are beautifully painted. www.guruguay.com/what-is-mate...

Some places still retain street markets - Montevideo, Uruguay. I have ferias in walking distance, almost every day of the week. Fairs with fruit/veggies, cheese, fish, meat, spices/nuts, baking, household goods, plants, + crafts/clothes/used items of some kind. Usually with politics mixed in

Shopped at a local organic market today. It's currently fall in Montevideo Uruguay. Scored guavas, figs, green apples, grapefruit & oranges. Veggies: variety of peppers, tomatoes, squash & potatoes. Add greens, arugula, chard, bok choy & lettuces. Feel pretty rich today with local choices here.

My view today from ground at Rodo Parque Montevideo Uruguay. Moved here 2 years ago partly to get away from Trump chaos. But I am
still Canadian. And I am fighting mad over his attacks on Canada. There in spirt.

To top the evening we watched the atardecer (sunset) at Paloma, Uruguay - a land tip at the Atlantic ocean that points south west. And yes people clap for fantastic sunsets. I love that!

Montevedio Uruguay has a new accessible public pier right near Ramirez Beach and Parque Rodo Just a "few seats" for people to enjoy the views. Public seating is art here in Montevideo. Always in awe of how easy it is with no hostile architecture.
