Totally agree. The only thing they want is to see fewer non-white faces - in the street and in TV ads! And that's not going to happen.

I work opposite a a pub which often hosts the local Reform party - it flies the shabbiest apology for a Union Flag I've ever seen. I've actually been tempted to buy them a new one as that would be better for the area.

The bags thing is funny. I worked at a school where the head wanted this until the staff pointed out that kids would take ages to find their bags or take the wrong one from the bag piles that are a natural part of any school.

If you think students need to be punished for something, removing teaching time isn't the answer (unless they are actively disruptive or have done something heinous of course).
