A nice little milestone for @shareshot.app in our TelemetryDeck stats! Over 50000 screenshots exported in just over a year. We noticed that due to an oversight we didn't count exports via Shortcuts for the first ~10 months so add a few thousand 😀

Another 1.4 Beta build fixes a bunch of issues especially on macOS Tahoe. Some new backgrounds and a nice bug fix that improves startup time!

It is nice how iOS 26 glass buttons pick up the colour from the UI if you have a colourful Ui. Looking forward to shipping this.

It is nice how iOS 26 glass buttons pick up the colour from the UI if you have a colourful Ui. Looking forward to shipping this.

Also seems that the Beta is incorrectly saying Pro is required for some styles, I'll fix that in the next build, apologies!

Shareshot's first year 👉 Capping off a huge year of releases for us, finally we have the most recent 1.3 release. This added much-requested custom export sizes and fixed width exports, as well as new striped backgrounds plus "solidarity" & many LGBTQ+ backgrounds, now free for all with no watermark.

Shareshot's first year 👉 Capping off a huge year of releases for us, finally we have the most recent 1.3 release. This added much-requested custom export sizes and fixed width exports, as well as new striped backgrounds plus "solidarity" & many LGBTQ+ backgrounds, now free for all with no watermark.
Shareshot's first year 👉 Just before Christmas 2025 we shipped 1.2. It added solid and custom background colours with lighting, background style tweaks, more export button options and Frame Memory to always use your preferred frame colours!

Shareshot's first year 👉 A while after the 1.1 release we got an early Christmas present in the form of a MacStories Selects Award for Best Design! With no formal product design training this actually meant a lot to us after the hard work we put into the 1.0. We were also an Upgradies runner up! 🥹

Shareshot's first year 👉 After launch in early August 2024, September's 1.1 release added an iOS 18 Control Widget to instantly frame the most recent screenshot — along with frames for the new iPhone 16 devices, Switch & Playdate plus Apple Music album art as a background.

We know we've been quiet for a while! We are working hard on release 1.4 which is going to be a big one.
Still a little way off but things are starting to come together nicely. Refactoring is hard, who knew 😹.
Of course there's all the glass shenanigans to deal with too… busy times. 💦🥃📱💻🖥️

We know we've been quiet for a while! We are working hard on release 1.4 which is going to be a big one.
Still a little way off but things are starting to come together nicely. Refactoring is hard, who knew 😹.

Share code fragments for the inevitable new Swift and SwiftUI incantations, with “frameless”. Grab a screenshot of your highlighted code in Xcode and drop it in (recall we have a macOS app too!). Choose a corner radius and shadow to make it look great!

When sharing screenshots consider a background style that lifts the content without detracting from the screenshot; the blurred screenshot or a style with blur or reduced saturation or brightness. For social media, try Fit mode and a little padding so the screenshot is as large as possible in feeds.
