i've seen someone unironically say this but even more extreme on tumblr very recently. there are real people who genuinely believe this sort of shit out there...

I also have a relative that manages to mess up the mashed potatoes. they taste like slightly buttered and salted water... nobody can say it to that relative's face because it would cause some heinous family drama. if I said anything? nuclear levels of drama

My oldest brother in law once was serving gravy to everyone at the table and uh... dripped gravy on his father in law's bald spot. Everyone (including the gravy victim) found it SO fucking funny.
It was decided from then on that everyone serves their own gravy to avoid another gravy incident. lol
