Los Angeles is full of wonders

My Indonesian teacher, Pak Gus, and I did class today from his rice field. A neighbor came by who didn’t understand he was on a Zoom class, so he greeted her & received a bag of corn from her new harvest. He mixes modernity & tradition, but always values the Balinese tradition of caring for others.

This is my dog Roxy in Griffith Park. She is almost 14. She used to jump on a trampoline with my son, who is away at college now. She’d go up, he’d go down. I am happy she is still here.
