Maybe try a soak in synthrapol with a color catcher? And in future you could soak your bold colored yarns in retayne before use. I use these with my quilting fabrics to fix dyes before use.

Thank you! I’m going to try to modify it to leave off the double neck band. A bit like Yule Do pattern by Kraemer. I get too warm at the neck. But love love this design!

You might try an I-cord bind off. It would roll back and hode the pickups if you frog back and have only a row or two after you pick up.

Take her to the fabric shop and let her select a few pinks and browns that she likes to guide your selection of additional fabrics. A few years ago I saw a lot of baby quilts with pink/tan combinations, but you really need her input on the shades of pink and brown.
