My closest childhood friends are currently pregnant and I just want to scream. The only thing I ever wanted and knew I wanted for my future was to be a mom and I never will. I get to be happy for everyone else while I slowly die inside.

My father in law died yesterday. 8 years ago he was calling me a gold digger and today I'm crying at the world losing his light. The husband said "I don't want to go to sleep because that means today happened and it's real" and he's not wrong.

I'm about to fight door dash. We're not on the platform yet. We don't want to be on the platform yet. Paying 35% of our sales on top of the fees they charge customers isnt something weve had a chance to number crunch yet. We've told them this, multiple times. They keep calling! 😡

After two months of work, this past Saturday I got to see the whole look come together. Dress, apron, hat, sweater, and collar were all made by me! I also crocheted all the cream trim on the dress and hat, and crocheted the brown trim on the apron. #egl #sewing #knitting #crochet

I fully made my return to work decision I this morning based on if I could detangle my hair this morning. It took 30 minutes of agressively brushing it. I cut about eight inches off tonight to get it to my normal longer length.

The husband has spent 21 hours in the hospital so far. Fuck covid. Fuck conservatives spreading this shit. I'm the immunocompromised one with asthma and I'm relatively ok. He's the healthy one and the one who usually holds shit together.

The husband got admitted to the hospital with covid. I'm sick at home but not nearly as bad as he is. For five years we dodged this shit. Five fucking years of having to be cautious because I have other health conditions. He's healthy and shouldn't be the one in there. 😭😭

In highschool a kid did the Nazi salute and was bullied mercilessly for it. He came back and insulted a pregnant woman five years ago, people remembered the salute and bullied him again. Those same people are excusing Elon for it now. Interesting.

Update on big project. The bodice is done (?? I feel like it needs something), the hat is done after some troubleshooting, sweater is #knit and collar is #crocheted. Still need to #sew the skirt and waistband to the bodice and add more trim.

2024 has been an interesting year. The only vacation I took was to Kansas City to celebrate my mom getting an award from her full time job. The chocolate shop has been consistent enough that I am bringing in a full time, US minimum wage income every week. We've had three, online orders.

There are 6.5 weeks left in the year and the chocolate shop my best friend, my mom, and I started 2 years ago has almost doubled what we did last year in sales. We're going into our third Christmas and it feels surreal to see how much we've done.
