It's supposed to be active all night and tomorrow night too. It comes in waves (substorms) so if it isn't visible when you go outside, wait 30 minutes and try again. It's not this brilliant to the naked eye, but give your eyes time to adjust, it's there.

One of the best days I've ever had fishing for lake run fish in the south shore tributaries of Lake Superior...3 steelhead and 3 coho salmon. Beats the hell out of working #fuckmoneygetfishes

Caught one of those a few weeks back in a trout stream, thought I had hooked in grandpappy brown, imagine my disappointment.
This one lived, and so did the 18" brown trout in caught in the next cast (what a weird day)

@governorwalz.mn.gov why is the state patrol flying aimlessly at low altitude over a residential neighborhood at 2 AM? Why do they do this ALL THE FUCKING TIME over this neighborhood in particular?

They are! We had one nest in our tree a few years back, and the babies hung out for about a week after leaving the nest, it was a real treat

Forgot to post my Wednesday afternoon adventure! Was a chilly, rainy day, but work was slow, so I called in #fuckmoneygetfishes for the afternoon.
Landed some really nice brook trout in one of my favorite streams, got soaked, and stank like a wet dog by the time the sun went down.
Better than work!

Forgot to post my Wednesday afternoon adventure! Was a chilly, rainy day, but work was slow, so I called in #fuckmoneygetfishes for the afternoon.

Caught not one, but two, incredibly rare tiger trout while blowing off my work this afternoon. A tiger trout is a rare (but wild in this case), sterile hybrid created when a male brook trout fertilizes the eggs of a female brown trout. These two bring my lifetime total to five.
