Completed a 🧶 project for myself! Fell in love with Mystery Saja's cropped sweater at first sight (and also Mystery Saja himself, helloooo) and had the greatest need to make it. So I scratched the itch and made a whole doll because why not??

I want to wind a hank, but someone wants to cuddle. The soft rock vs the comfy place, who will win??

Cookbooks & Demons by Megan Mackie 📚 review!

The characters in the story were so fleshed out! The intertwining background events built up well. (Though I was miffed FMC never called a friend back when he was clearly upset, which wasn't resolved 'til MUCH later). MMC was a freaking sweetheart.

Her Orc Blacksmith by Etta Wild 📚 review!

The mood for this entire story is absolute tenderness. I actually had to pause the book for a while when approaching the final act because I didn't want to see them hurting 😭 A beautiful story of two wounded hearts finding home.

'Tis the Season to be Bitten by P.S. Nail 📚 review!

A wolf shifter novella that was incredibly sweet with some spice tossed in. Felt very Hallmark coded, but not in a bad way. Childhood friends-to-lovers trope. I really liked the unique shifter facets this book held!

Married to My Grumpy Minotaur Boss by Ami Wright 📚 review!

This was a spicy sweet read. Even though the writing was on the wall for the couple's relationship post-reality show filming, I shed many tears. MMC knows how to grovel. Also knows how to use his tongue 🥵 Bosshole minotaur daddy fr!

It felt like it had taken me all day to go through the fantasy categories in the stuff-your-kindle event yesterday. Turns out it kind of did, because I ended up downloading 255 books this time around. Gonna keep me nicely fed for a while 😏

New 🧶 project: shitpost style!

My sister sent me a link to a pattern for a powdered wig cat hat. I wasn't wanting to spend multiple $s for a pattern that wouldn't be worn again once made, so I reverse engineered it from the pics (I'm sorry!!).

New 🧶 project, whaddup! I love looking at the float-side of colorwork because it sometimes gives away the picture, sometimes makes it a mystery.
The reindeer celebrate the winter season in this Fuck The Cold Hat by Knitty or Nice on Rav.

Completed a 🧶 commission for a dear friend and her family. I designed the back of the child pair, which is so cute (the tongue!) and particularly love the mosaic of the palm on the tulip pair. Hoping these will have a long life and be well-loved! 🥰

Finally gained the oomph to reset my password here. An update nearly a year ago logged me out and I just didn't have the mental bandwidth to fix it. But I miss sharing book reviews and projects and want to try to build myself up again. Crossing fingers.

I want to yell, scream, gnash over The Sea Witch by Rebecca F. Kenney.

The details from the original tale that were pulled into this MF rewrite are perfectly blended. The political/pious/physical descriptions and details are beautifully grown up for grown readers. Absolutely an A++ recc from me!

Nothing like giving someone a comm quote for a sweater and praying they knew what they were getting into for handknit sweater prices. I'm so behind on bills, I really hope they accept the bid 😭

Quick ratings and reviews, nothing super in depth.

Hell yeah, KU subscription is back in my pocket for a couple months for 99 cents. Time to mass read through my list of books reserved for when I got it again!

Been sick for a while and am blitzing through my kindle library. I'm thinking of doing some quick reviews and grade scale rating for them instead of full posts because otherwise it will take way too long 💀

📚 Review!

The Witch Handbook to Magic and Mayhem by Tish Thawer is a book where witches and fae make two sides of a magical coin.

I rate this at 🥔/10. Raw and bland when there are infinite possibilities it could have become.

New 💐 project!

Someone reached out to me to buy some bookmarks, so I made a bunch for them to pick from. They wanted all of the underwater ones + one more. It was nice to stretch the creative brain after a week of caring for a sick house.

Orctober 📚 Review!

The Orc From the Office by Kate Prior is a lighthearted office romance featuring a couple from the HR and IT departments where corporations are run by evil entities.

I rate this at 🕯/10. A scented candle to cleanse the palate and makes things feel a little brighter.

Orctober 📚 review!

Candy For My Orc Boss by Ava Ross is a fated mates book that is spicy and physical from the first to the last page.

I rate this at 🎺/ 10. A cheery, boisterous, horny story that's not afraid to get loud from the moment it starts to play.

Orctober 📚 Review!

Healing the Orc's Heart by Lyonne Riley is a short story that truly packs a punch. This is the second in the series--the first I've read in it--that reads well as a standalone.

I rate this at 🍲/10. A warm soup that makes you feel good--not too complicated to digest.

New 💐 project!

Made a cute multiplication table from scratch for a dear niece who's having math trouble.

A bit disappointed that the purple petals on the right scorched in the laminator, so I will have to keep that in mind for next time I use them.
