Doing non-traditional Thanksgiving this yr. Spent nearly 2 hrs making the sauce and filling for spinach artichoke white lasagna, which I will assemble and bake today. And mom is making a regular lasagna. Plus Italian salad and bread. And a raspberry pie and bourbon cake. And there are 4 of us lol.

Just watched a video comparing types of plant milks, and the guy said “any influencer that says one of these milks is toxic is probably the thing that is actually toxic.” Love it! He gets a follow.

I got a fairly bad minor cut on my finger the other day (bled through three (very tightly applied!) bandaids before it finally stopped, and was very tender), and I have been judicious about applying aquaphor and a new bandaid twice a day, and holy moly, that stuff really helps it heal faster!

Holy moly, I just spent 3 hours and over $500 at Costco! But I got like 75% of my Christmas shopping done in one fell swoop!

I still love Life of a Showgirl, but I have been like jonesing for some Tortured Poets lately! Haven’t listened to it in weeks, and I *need* some of those narcotics in those songs!

It’s kind of clever but also kind of borderline insidious that harvest snaps are shaped like pea pods. Makes you think they are baked peas, instead of some baked cracker thing made with ground peas.
These are the new veggie straws. (Although somewhat better macros. But still health halo junk food.)

Not sure if it’s the content or the algorithm, but.. YouTube kinda sucks lately. I’m spending much longer trying to find something I want to watch, and usually just end up settling on something mid.

I have a rule I follow, to always make sure there is toilet paper within reach before starting actually going to the bathroom.
Today I learned an important addendum I need to add to that rule: Also make sure you can actually retrieve the toilet paper from the dispenser first.

I had a dream last night that there was an elephant in the backyard of my childhood home, and (adult) me, my (divorced) parents, and my aunts were all crammed up against the window watching it from inside while.. it sprayed fire out of its trunk and destroyed all of the trees.
And.. I just… huh???

Candied pecans, sweetened craisins, and a sweet balsamic dressing is waaaay too much sugar for a salad. Salad is not supposed to taste sweet! Might need to stop buying the pre-made ones.

I really like the guy who’s giving those NTSB press briefings on the Louisville plane crash. He is very careful to speak accurately and explain their process and just seems like he knows this stuff in and out. He must have a lot of experience in this role.

I’ve been sick for like 9 days (ugh!). I am finally starting to feel better, but I’m kind of the line between “I have some energy! Let’s do things!” and “I’m still sick, I need rest.” Experience has taught me the correct course of action in this case is to keep resting.
