I am all for miracles because the universe we live in is far richer than we can imagine. The alchemy of stars, hydrogen atoms seemingly awakening to explore themselves, the scale and depth of everything around us... nothing we know is short of a miracle.

There is no deeper religious feeling than the feeling for the natural world. I wouldn't separate the world of nature from the religious instinct...I would not even object to saying that the sense of awe before the grandeur of nature is itself a religious experience.

So, very different schooling DOES produce significant differences in IQ after all. IQ is not just some inborn "merit."

And that means denying kids the best possible education is a crime that _the kids_ will pay for lifelong, not the perpetrators.
