Donald Trump’s theater of hate: MAGA’s governing principle is cruelty
When Trump talked about "American carnage," he meant it — that's what he and his supporters want.

Could postal workers deliver mail without postage? So the mail is delivered but delivering letters without postage reduces revenue for the corporation. Public is happy but the corporation is pressured to negotiate fairly.

So if the grocery store makes 4% and the private distributor 6% then we know Mr. Weston is really getting 10%.

Of course, if the 3 ridings the leaders are running in, all rejected the leader of the Party it might send a message to the Conservatives, the Liberals & the NDP that Canadians are tired of being taken for granted by the political Parties & they need to pay attention to what Canadians actually want.

Carleton Place is not in the Carleton riding. It is in the Lanark Frontenac riding; and the Conservative is Scott Reid, the NDP candidate is Danielle Rae, and the Liberal candidate is Michelle Foxton.

My question is how do people come up with this eye-roll level of naivete when it comes to politics. Of course, they are the same people who think Trump's administration is just "business as usual" in America, no disaster developing there.

We are likely to get either an unrestrained Liberal Party that will ignore its failures during the last decade, or an unrestrained Conservative Party that will try to duplicate the approach of the MAGA people in the USA. Neither will strengthen Canadian democracy which is a disaster for Canada.

The history of the Liberal Party over the past decade has been to feed the ego of the leader which just made him more and more arrogant and resistant to criticism. What makes you think that they will be different this time around? And what exactly is this vision you think Carney has?

We are facing an election where strategic voting is the main theme. The NDP is projected to lose Party status, and the winner will be either the Liberals who do not deserve a fourth term or Poilievre's Conservatives that Canadians don't deserve. Disaster for Canada whichever wins.

My point is that the Liberal Party is not immune to the same approach to leadership. They put up with a leader and no one ever seemed to challenge him leading him to be more and more arrogant. Mr. Poilievre has created a Party where no one challenges the leader.

Who released a fully costed platform on "Day 1"?
April 21, 2025 at 3:38 PM
To be fair many of the people voting in the advance pools hadn't seen a fully costed platform from any of the Parties.
