We lost an election big time because of subpar candidates and a platform with exaggerated focus on some issues that affect so few. A shut down would create more federal worker instability. What would the plan be after?

I’m in Wisconsin. Bernie was in town last week. I haven’t heard a peep from Walz. People turn to Trump not because of the goodness of his message, but because it’s relentless. I remain hopeful, but we need a young, energetic, educated leader.

Agreed. Bernie Sanders is the only one rallying support for democracy. Where is Kamala Harris or Tim Walz? Where is Gavin Newsom? Or Pete Buttigieg? Someone needs to step up NOW in a big, big way.

A great listen. Thanks for all your hard work!

It’s inspiring you got out of bed to see it! The blood moon seems like the appropriate lunar omen for our climate situation—but it’s certainly beautiful. I hope you got some sleep 😊

I was exhausted and went to bed early. Thanks for the pic!

It’s the brutal reality of losing. The horrible truth of stagnant presidential nominees, weak implementation of policies, to much focus on issues affecting a tiny percentage of voters (we should care but not make them our primary issue), and supporting the status quo. Disappointing AOC.

Ethics are in part based on scientific guidelines. Societal values can change and often are secondary to the loudest or best funded, not always the majority. Many hunters are not fair chase nor do they respect the North American conservation model. We need good science.

That’s a bunch of bs. Experts can and should advocate for recommendations based on the best available science. Does your primary care provider do the same? Do we support immunizations? Should we support the reintroduction of native species? The preservation of habitat? Yes! Science can advocate!!

Reduced pell grants and student loan access. Reduced funding to states which may result in small university closers. Increased illiteracy and ignorance—the perfect trumpian world.

Tell them to go to hell. It’s time for the Conservancy to grow a pair and start advocating for what is right instead of how they can secure federal funding.
