At this point, the government recommending someone for a job should automatically disqualify them.
NAMA chief Brendan McDonagh’s north Dublin home – which The Ditch revealed was registered under the alias PB McDonnacha – is being advertised to rent on a short-term letting site for more than €10,000 a week.

He was to be government’s new housing tsar.

A letting agent wants a full month’s rent upfront to "reserve" an apartment we haven’t even viewed. They also demand new landlord references and payslips (November 2024 isn't"current" enough).

As we'll be giving them thousands of euro, shouldn’t they be the ones showing us their references?

There should be an app that automatically detects certain faces in the cover photos on your newsfeed and replaces them with dogs.

The best thing about the few days after Christmas is that Christmas is as far away as it'll ever be.

I saw Bonnie Prince Billy in Galway a few months back. He played this song, and I've been trying to find it since. I don't know anything about Boise, Idaho, but it's a very nice song.

It's great that people mostly rejected the racists, but disheartening that so many still support those who've made it clear they couldn't care less about most of the country.

Here's to five more years of equal-opportunity neglect and subtle institutional oppression. 🤷 #GE24

I misread this headline and thought the train line was closing for 20 years. Honestly, I wasn't that surprised. It seemed plausible enough based on past form.
