Enjoying #plur1bus so far. Intriguing premise. And has that signature Gilligan style in how it’s filmed.

Was a bit behind in celebrity traitors. But watched the finale there and it was amazing. The winner deserved to win. Fantastic all the way through.

Frankenstein was fantastic. It didn’t feel like a nearly 3 hour film. Perfectly cast.

Half an hour into Frankenstein and it’s already wonderful.

Been watching Derry Girls again. It’s fantastic of course. But it’s also a brilliant look at a critical and hopeful time here in NI. And we’ve done all right since then. Just wish our politicians would do better today.

Another day of battling awful legacy code that’s not been maintained and nobody understands. 25 years to go.

The gameplay loop in Arc Raiders is satisfying.

I enjoyed The Ed Gein Story but I don’t know if I liked it? I also felt really sorry for him at the end. I know it was a very exaggerated and fictional account of him so maybe thats why there’s sympathy?

Arc Raiders is good so far. Very intense though.

Also confirmed that AWS have implemented throttling again on that AZ.
October 28, 2025 at 6:02 PM
AWS are having issues with services on us-east-1 AZ2 due to an issue provisioning EC2s. Of course it’s not yet on their health dashboard. But have had it confirmed by them. In case anyone is seeing problems. Theres throttling going on as well.

I did not realise that @WilliamShatner did a cover of “Common People”. It is glorious.

Another week of mundanity begins. Sitting behind a screen, dead behind the eyes. Nodding along to corporate waffle and hollow bursts of faux jubilation. Relentless.

Weird coincidence that I finally gotten to finishing the main story of Mario Odyssey today. And it’s the 8th anniversary of its release.

Spent 3 hours over the weekend setting up a personal website using Astro. Great framework for just throwing together some basic static pages. Used Vercel to host it and bought a domain. Bit of help from Gemini to get familiar with Astro. Total cost $9.99. shaneohanlon.dev
