Oh my god.

Could you out yourself more?

Only libertarians who want to molest 14 yr olds draw the distinction between pedophile and ephebophile.

Stop.

Oh, I’m sorry. I was just replying at the end of the thread.

No. It would grow with the population, but at a slower rate. Conversely, a ratio just increases in lockstep with the population.

A cube root is like a square root, but one more time. If the US population was 27 people there would be three reps. Population would have to increase to 64 to get 4.

The population. The cube root of 340 million citizens is 698 (697.95).

Cube root. At the current population of just over 340 million it would increase the number of representatives in the house to 698. That number would then adjust with the census.

And that could be done by legislative action. No constitutional amendment needed.

I get that the NYT has their writing conventions, but I must object to the continuous use of the “Mr.” honorific in their prose. Musk is not Mr. Musk, he’s just Musk. And really he should be grateful for the unwarranted capitalization.

Also true for Trump.

He’s fine now, but we stopped adding the bills up after 3/4 of a million bucks. I’m damn glad he qualified for Social Security because otherwise my wife and I would’ve lost our house.

My son was born 12 weeks early. 2 lbs. 9 oz. He was hospitalized for 11 weeks. Under the Social Security rules, after he lived at the hospital for a month he was deemed “lifetime hospitalized” and Social Security paid for everything medical for the first year. He also qualified based on birthweight

That was my guess.
