A lifelong Yankee fan, but rooting HARD for the Jays. Even broke out a new box of maple cookies for luck during game 7. My condolences to all Toronto fans, but the series will be remembered as one of the greatest in history. The 2025 BlueJays were a hell of a team.

Have been listening to early Bee Gees the last few days. We all know how great they were vocally and the songwriting was outstanding. What I never paid enough attention to was just how good a bass player Maurice was. He should be in the conversation as one of the best of the era.

I saw Bananaball for the first time last night. Breath of fresh air after sitting through the first 3 games of the Yankees/Red Sox series.

Tryfles, Outta Place, Fuzztones, Vipers, Mosquitos and (of course) The Cheepskates live in NYC at Fuzzfest ‘84. Vinyl available wherever… um… I’m not sure where you can buy it but it’s out there. That’s 2 live Cheepskates releases and 1 live show so far in 2025! It’s been a while.

Re-reading the Donald Westlake Parker series, this time in chronological order. Such a great character and so far the books are proving as much fun to read now as when I read them the first time. There should be a Parker TV series. Doc Savage too while they’re at it.

Decided to do a chrono-listen of Fairport Convention and offshoots. Has any band since 1965 spawned as much music as they did? I’m up to 1970 and there seven albums to listen to for that year alone and Richard Thompson hasn’t peeled himself away yet. I’ll never get through it all! Fun trying tho.

Just an aside here… why are the Beatles listed on progarchives but not The Beach Boys? Smiley Smile, parts of Surfs Up and Holland and others all have some passages and songs that fit the bill … no “Revolution 9” but Feel Flows, Day in the Life of a Tree, Woodpecker Symphony, Steamboat?
