It’s also likely bait and switch - the Roam plan details that were available when people purchased their Mini stated the ability to pause as a feature. It was clearly $0 when paused. Now they are charging a fee with no way to avoid it.

While some of Peter Dutton’s claims highlight genuine economic challenges, many of these issues have deeper roots and cannot be attributed exclusively to the current government’s policies. In fact most of it is attributable to the previous Coalition government.

Agreed!

Oh, & don’t let the “Coalition” claim otherwise. They’re already 2 parties working together (Libs/Nationals) because they can’t form a majority on their own. But unlike a “hung parliament” (just the scare term they use that means no one party has majority) the “Coalition” is actually dysfunctional.

It’s about time we had another government that didn’t hold majority. “Adults” having to work with each other to pass legislation - this is how some of the most effective & productive governments in the world function today.

A fuel excise cut only benefits car drivers (sorry people that don’t use a car) short term. Over time the fuel companies will increase their own profits to replace it. Voters are shortsighted if they think this will help. Better to redirect the current excise to road maintenance.

$6B a year is a bargain vs the $20.8B spent by the Morrison Government in just 12 months to outsource this work to the private sector. And it gives people jobs rather than lining fat cats pockets, while ensuring they serve the people not corporate profits. www.theguardian.com/australia-ne...

Now (along with setting up the OS, Docker and installing the PDS server) supports automatically locking down the UFW (firewall), configuring hostname, auto configuring the domains via Linode API as well as configuring the PDS SMTP config.
