Just had the most amazing experience hiking through rivers on Mt Daisen in Tottori, Japan, looking for the Japanese Giant Salamander (Andrias japonicus). These amphibians are endemic to Japan and can grow up to 1.5m long and live for over 70 years! 🌏🧪
