I love another BBC show called The Ascent of Man from 1973. It’s about the history of science and science ethics. Some of the information is out of date now, and it’s definitely biased toward the west, but what never gets old is Jacob Bronowski’s appreciation and care for people.

Aaand yet again this lack of a strategy has got us another term with a dude who has nothing for homelessness, simultaneously nothing for public safety and nothing about police reform, and property taxes keep going up

They can depersonalize it and use data that isn’t correlated with PII but idk how they would correlate with watch data without PII.

Totally. It’s such a tough thing to parse and way more complex and nuanced than some groups would have us believe. Dems definitely need to be rebuilt from the ground up, they’re out of touch.

Another example would be people who rely on medication to survive. They may struggle to afford it now, but in societal upheaval may completely lose access.

My concern is about the impacts a revolution would have on people who are so disenfranchised and marginalized that they don’t/can’t consent to revolution. There is a threshold where the tradeoff makes sense, but I can’t claim to know where that is.

Using gender as the organizing principle for sports leagues is a vestige of patriarchal thinking. We could organize by strength or weight or skill level or some other actual measure. If they’re so worried about trans women winning, why not call their bluff?
