The Leafs should have beaten that Jiricek deal. They need some long-term talent there. Tanev can fall off a cliff at any moment since he’s 35, blocks shots with everything, and is injury-prone. OEL and Rielly work for now while they’re mobile. Timmins is Timmins.

This is on Shanahan, not Dubas. He was the one who said they should do this. They showed it in the BTS video of the expansion draft.

I do not want Brad Treliving to have the opportunity to spend even more money on older players to long-term deals with large cap increases. It's not going to be fun trying to see the Leafs chase their tail trying to manage the bad money they previously signed with new bad money.

I personally cared more that the Leafs scored than I cared about the song that played after the goal horn. But it’s good that people got the change they were asking for.

We spent years complaining about Dubas not getting the appropriate RHD for the Leafs, and within 2 months, this man gets one of the best current RHD in the world for his new team. I think he really was handicapped here in Toronto.

Did Barbenheimer tonight. 9/10 for both movies. Barbie is fun, entirely self-aware, and talks about the sociopolitical state of society. Oppenheimer is powerful and goes into relationships and the dangers of war. Both are excellent and I highly recommend the double feature if you can.
