It was made with the intention of not "talking down to kids" and being "actually good" compared to other Christian entertainment.
I'll give it this, it's a well-produced radio drama/comedy/soap opera.

Growing up I used to read genre magazines at the dinner table daily. So getting to see my work in print, dedicated to one of my favorite shows no less? It’s a perfect reminder that I’m getting to do what I’ve always loved. Writing.

The magazine itself was given away for free at SDCC, exposed to tens of thousands of people! There was even a massive party dedicated to the anniversary and magazine.

It was a whirlwind to get it all done, most of the writing and interviewing process taking place in the span of a month! Then our art team put it all together into the amazing package you see now!

The writing of the articles was one of toughest yet most rewarding pieces of journalism I’ve ever done, taking well over seven hours of interviews and surgically slicing them down into the most impactful bits.

Every single person was a joy to talk with and I got the chance to spotlight lesser known parts of the history of this legendary series. (Especially my boy, Cabbage Merchant.)

I wrote for an official Avatar: The Last Airbender magazine! Den of Geek got the amazing opportunity to collaborate with Nickelodeon for a print magazine dedicated to the 20th anniversary of ATLA and I ended up writing a major chunk of it!
