It just needs remarketing.

Hey kids! Do you want to feel like you have a PhD, but don't have 6 years to burn? Ozempic is the answer! You can have that sweet numbing PhD feeling after a just a few shots, and not have to work at it like all the other mugs in school.

Is it a good search engine though?

I renewed mine last year. The visitors visa doesn’t apply to uk citizens, but without a valid uk passport there was no way to prove I was one.

I used my Swedish passport to get there, and at Stansted I have them both and said “take your pick”.

I don’t think they’ll be getting any return on that 40mil any time soon…

Were they? Their argument was that small bands were not getting paid due to piracy therefore killing them off. We pay for streaming services now, and small bands still do not get paid. Metallica do though.

We’re watching this in Europe getting very worried. Are any of the US news channels talking about the legality of this yet, and how it did not get congressional approval?

If these were aims in a grant application, I would ask you move the last aim to be first.

About 40 mins late to this discussion, but why not?

Not in the US either, but unless you live off-grid I'm certain some of your money goes to Amazon. Anything you buy online is likely hosted on AWS, so the fee is baked into the cost of what you bought.

You can minimise what you give, but so diverse is their business their passive income is massive.

I only asked about passive income online, it couldn’t really think beyond that, so I thinks it’s a low estimate too.

From GPT:

Total (family of 4)
~$90–$165 per

So even if you cancel Amazon Prime to avoid giving Bezos money, you’re likely still contributing to AWS revenue via other services you already use—especially streaming and cloud-dependent services.
December 28, 2025 at 10:53 AM
Completely true, and why I laugh every time I hear “I’ve cancelled Prime so that Bezos won’t get my money”.

If I had time, I world love to calculate how much the average household gives Amazon without even realizing it. GPT could probably work out a rough guess.
December 28, 2025 at 10:48 AM
I guess if you don’t have a single paid for online service you’re in the clear.
December 27, 2025 at 11:48 PM
Cancel your streaming subs too as most are hosted on Amazon Web Services, Netflix is for example. News subs too I guess.

One way or another, Bezos is getting your money whether you like it or not.
