I raised my two sons on the love of reading. They always carried a book in their pocket. My younger son died 22 years ago at the age of 24. He was buried in his leather jacket with the book he was reading in the pocket to read in the afterlife.

This is how you become a writer: just pick one of the things that is deeply wrong with you. Make it a character. Now send it on a self-help journey or try to kill it. Now call it a book.
