I drink upwards of 100 gallons of hot chocolate a year. To support that, I make my own instant hot chocolate mix in ~5lb batches. Here's the recipe:

@gailsimone.bsky.social has performed a public service by highlighting the lack of pickles in Canada. In an attempt to help, here is a pickle recipe my Mom typed up in the 70's (Including my Grandmother's better version):

Lots more unpacking to do, but for the first time in two years I have access to my entire TTRPG library.

An odd thankful message for @criticalrole.bsky.social . Specifically to whomever decided on the tubes used to mail out campaign maps (~ '22/'23). As I continue to unbox things after moving my grandmother's marble rolling pin was found. I had forgotten a tube was repurposed to pack the rolling pin.

I like to bake... and do some cooking as well. One of the big benefits of the new apartment is the kitchen, with a huge island.
So. I was so wowed by the island that I failed to notice the lack of dining area (island meant to double as dining area). Table will live behind entertainment center.

Unboxing after a move.

Ahh... Shelf pegs. Have been through every misc box, tools box, and decorations box. Ordered replacements.

However, I have found important items like Buddy Christ.

Some clean-up left from yesterday, but had an enjoyable evening with friends & meeting new people.

Of course I say this knowing I *almost* grabbed a 350°F cookie sheet yesterday because I hadn't unboxed the gloves.
(Have only a car load of stuff in new apartment for a few weeks)

1999: Gabriel Byrne stars as a priest in Stigmata (September) and as Satan in End of Days (November). Coincidence? I think NOT!

The Virginia Highlands have miniature wild ponies that have learned to come up & lick the sweat off of hiker's legs. They also know to show up around meal times to beg for food. Life is odd enough, I'll never understand the need for AI images.
