Point is customer complains bc service is not the expected way. It's not personal. It doesn't matter who the manager is. Customer only needs someone with power to change the situation.

There is something wrong.
Customer needs it different.
Employee doesn't have power to do it.
Two routes: find someone who can do it different, or loose the client (including the "I am the manager" way of loosing the client).
It's not personal for the customer. Unfortunately it is for the employee.

I never heard of it costing anything. It’s like a social media in which each post is an observation (mostly photos, but it can also be recordings of sounds for birds, for instance). Ppl follow other ppl, or taxa (genus, species, families, etc). Then they make comments and offer ID suggestions.

ID confirmation for your observations is one possible benefit for you. Another is that you want to post the right ID, and end up learning more and more. Third, scientists make use of the database and learn about species distribution. Finally no, there is no limit or costs for interactions.
