Building the democratic chair design. Lots of scorp and drawknife work. Today was focused on the seat. #chair #chairmaker #chairs

The bandings made over the weekend! Being able to carry forward the knowledge from furniture makers prior brings me joy. I’m excited to play with color and experiment with augmenting patterns. Endless possibilities!

Working with veneer in a different way this weekend. Learning the basics of decorative banding. This is the year of veneer for me. Feels good to check off goals for expanding my practice and opening options for different elements. Looking forward to ways these things can be combined.

Tiny drawer, big happiness. I’ve worked on the finish more since this video. I still need to come up with a tiny drawer pull.

Tiny squid table isn’t fully finished but I’m calling it for the night. I carved the legs and played with veneer. It started from a sketched idea on a piece of cardboard. I had so much fun, thanks Penland!

Working on hand carving the legs of a tiny table. I went with quarter scale of the design I planned to make at full scale.
