I was talking about individual's bank accounts not processing transactions. I don't know about anyone who sells games like Minecraft or Vintage story from their own website being banned by Visa. They're hitting big platforms like Patreon, Steam or itch, which is bad for small creators.

But an extra option can't hurt.

The main problem is being banned from big platforms because they were pressured by payment processors. They should switch to some ecologically friendly crypto to fight censorship. I don't know if individuals are being hit with that, but crypto can be a way to anonymize yourself.

Minimalism is always better for usability and readability, better for work. People want to return to fun times, when they were discovering computers as children.
